If you have Pinterest or an Instagram account (we’ll just safely assume that that would include almost everyone) you’ve seen some of the beautiful Parisian style trends floating around in the home decor world. Of course, it’s hard to even call it a trend, as it is that classic French style — which is always in, but, it’s becoming more widespread outside the walls of updated Parisian lofts and finding its way into homes across North America, and beyond.
There is something so simple and chic about French homes, and we’ve falling in love with the look and feel of these airy spaces.
While typically neutral, these spaces aren’t necessarily minimal, instead, they are purposeful. The palette is simple, classic and there is a mix of clean and modern lines and more organic, vintage pieces.
Even though there is an old-world charm to these spaces, they feel surprisingly modern and ahead of their time.
However, If you look at each piece individually, modern might not be the first word that comes to mind, but when those modern and vintage elements mix, it’s pure magic. Something about it feels high-style without being pretentious, and warm without being under-designed.
It’s not just about furniture and decor when it comes to this Look We Love, but it’s also about architecture, millwork and flooring. Herringbone and Chevron flooring helps bring this classic look together, adding elegance from a natural material.
You can’t forget mantles when it comes to the Parisian Apartment look — If it can host a fire that’s amazing, but if not in service that really does not make it less special when it comes to this trend. Once upon a time, a broken fireplace would have been an unfortunate addition in a living space, but we’re seeing it being used a key design element, and a focal point in spaces pulling off the Parisian look.
We love that with this look there are so many timeless elements that can bring timeless glam to any space, no matter where you live.
So what do you think of this timeless trend? Are you on board, or passing for now?
