Well, the end of Hot Girl Summer is here, and we’re moving into the next best season: Fall.
No matter where you live - whether you get true Fall weather or just a slightly lowered temperature, it’s fun to embrace the coziness that comes with the colder seasons.
While we’re not huge into specific decorations for Fall, but we do love that this is the season to introduce layering, chunky knits, candles, warm metallic tones and more.
When it comes to decorating for any holiday or season, we feel strongly that the decor should work well with the overall feeling and theme of your home. That it fits right in and looks like a natural progression in your space throughout the year.
Not sure how to do this? Here are our best tips:
Update your textiles. Changing out your pillows and throws to something a bit heavier, or introducing new textures can be a great way to update for the season. Hint: We love velvet for Fall and Winter and thick knits. If you need some new ones, we’ve got some great textiles in the shop!
Bring in foliage from the great outdoors. It could be as simple as grabbing a branch of leaves that are slowly turning and placing them in your favorite vase, OR checking out some faux options (we love these ones).
Candles. Enough said, basically! There is not time of year in which candles are inappropriate, but candles bring extra warmth and you really can’t get that candlelight glow from anything else. Candles can be the perfect accessory for your spaces as you transition into fall, and lighting them as the days grow shorter. While the smell and size of a candle are important when selecting, so are the containers that they come in. For Fall, we love to pick out candles that come in warm metallic tones, or handcrafted pottery vessel. Here is a favorite, oh, and we love this one, too.
And if you’re more of a visual learner, we’ve also put together a round-up of our favorite fall items to help you bring the season into your home!
