When an old friend reached out recently looking for ideas to style her daughter's bedroom, we knew putting together a mood board and E-Design would be the best and easiest way to give them an overall design plan to follow. Lucie is twelve and wants a sophisticated desert-chic bedroom (no more kid stuff) and gave us these style words: shibori, mud cloth, cacti, woven texture and gold accents. We've been busy working on another fun E-Design; this time for a young, fun-loving, Venice Beach entrepreneur who wanted to give her bare bedroom a laid-back, California Boho style. She has a love for DIY projects, graphic patterns, and playful prints. With just a few accessories she wanted to keep (nightstand, lamp and director's chair), and a ton of great Pinterest inspiration - we got right to work on creating a room that would make her Cali dreams come true.
We'll be celebrating our love for the USA all weekend long and we're kicking things off with a modern and sophisticated take on an Americana inspired dining room. For this "farmhouse chic" look we blended traditional elements with modern accessories. Rose gold accents are a soft alternative to the typical red hue, while sticking with classic white place settings and denim blues gives that nostalgic All-American feel.
